Balzers is my favourite place in Liechtenstein. It’s just a normal town where people live, rather than being a strange little money-laundering village like Vaduz, and it has a lovely castle. (Although it was the site of Liechtenstein’s one recent murder in 2014).

Believe it or not, that stream is part of the Rhine.

The public toilet is in that half-timbered bit to the right of the church.

Very defined graves.

Also a little shout out to the local power socket. Only found in Switzerland, Liechtenstein and spaceships. I like the 3-way socket where they’re arranged in a circle.

The interior of the castle was closed for rennovation when I took these photos, but they had an info board showing you what it looks like.
