I try to avoid buying anything in Liechtenstein, because it’s so expensive. They have the same chains as Switzerland- Co-Op and Migros. These photos are from a run of the mill Co-Op in Balzers, not some city centre tourist-priced place. All prices are in Swiss Francs, but you can essentially read them as being the same in Pounds or Euros. The exchange rate of the Franc is very skewed, so they’re normal in proportion to Swiss salaries.

This was like 20 CHF

It’s genuinely cheaper to buy Lindt chocolate in the UK, rather than down the road from where it’s made.

I also regularly get this Swiss brand of biscuits for €2-3 in France.

Appenzell is the weird isolated bit of Switzerland where they didn’t let women vote until the 90s. Also known for being homophobic. I don’t trust their little cakes.

Rivella is a Swiss drink made of whey, similar to Calpis in Japan. It doesn’t taste milky though, it’s more like ginger beer.

Giant boxes of MSG.

Austria has a smilar herbal lemonade called Almdudler.

Betty Bossi is like the Swiss Betty Crocker- a fake housewife made to sell cake mixes. The brand also does pizzas now. Swiss supermarkets love to hang things up from hooks in the fridge.

Like Germany there’s lots of tube foods.

This brand of cleaning stuff is my favourite however.
