Mals in Vinschgau

Mals in Vinschgau is the other main town in Val Venosta. It’s been in Italy since 1914, but everyone speaks German and it feels like Switzerland. Elevation 1051m, not far off the peak of Mount Snowdon. It’s also a scenic medieval town, and has the high school, along with several hotels and cafes. There was a very good cake shop with a view of the glacier whose owners inexplicably detested both me and my coworker at first sight.

The local pizza restaurant in nearby Tartsch. However we ate inside, because it was too cold for the geodesic domes.

Because this is Italy, you see far more old cars lovingly kept running than in Austria.
